A striking revelation makes it apparent that the supporters of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) as well as al Qaeda are increasingly involved in cocaine, fake Viagra and other drugs smuggling. It has also been clarified that the money gathered from these drug sales is being utilized in financing the terror activities across the West Africa region.

In an anti-terrorism assembly the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in West Africa head Amado Philip de Andres specifies that in Central as well as West Africa , the activities carried out by cocaine dealers are definitely linked to the spurt of terrorism in these regions. Philip de Andres also pointed out that in regions such as Ivory Coast and Nigeria , there are specific laboratories where counterfeit Viagra tablets are manufactured massively and the money garnered from their sales is then used to fund terrorism. Alongside he also made it clear that the manufacture of counterfeit medicines and the funding of terrorism have led to a complete destabilization of West Africa.

Moreover according to sources, during the last two years drug producers from South America are increasingly smuggling illegal drugs via Guinea-Bissau in South Africa into Europe.
