According to a specific revelation, agriculture researchers in South Africa are experimenting on a plant commonly known as African Viagra , to produce erectile dysfunction medication after domesticating it at a research centre run by the government. Further reports confirm that the plant was imported three years back from Malawi and since then “Taichung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station” has been putting in efforts to make the plant accustomed to the local atmosphere.
However, the plant, known as “vuka-vuka” in the African Nguni language, has been reportedly utilized in some of the countries located in southern Africa as a specific cure for male sexual dysfunction as well as low sexual desire and altogether sources reveal that on being tested in male mice, the powdered form of “ vuka-vuka” is proved to be instrumental in increasing their sperm count.
Director-general of “Taichung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station” , Mr Chen Yuan-wu, asserts his belief in the plant`s potential and makes it clear that before the development of this new erectile dysfunction medicine adequate research is necessary to minimize the safety concerns with regard to the side-effects triggered off by the plant.
