To overcome the tough competition posed by the generic drug manufacturers as well as to make up for the revenue loss of $14 billion; Viagra maker Pfizer Incl. announced the company's decision to reduce 10,000 jobs across the United States , Canada , France and Germany.
The revenue loss by the pharmaceutical company has been attributed to expiring patents and the increasing demand of drugs from the American health insurance companies that come at a considerably lower price.
With this new declaration by Pfizer Incl., it has become evident that out of the 600 people working at Pfizer's headquarters at Kirkland in Canada , 100 would have to lose their jobs.
In US, this new decision of Pfizer would lead to the reduction of jobs in places such as New York , Michigan and Nebraska.
