Unable to afford the cost of real Viagra which is $50 each pill, a man from Singapore Lee Voot Seong, consumed four red "Indian Viagra" which further brought legal trouble to his life.
On 19 th April at Tuas Checkpoint, after the authorities found out that Mr Lee possessed a drug named Dormicum, he was obliged to undergo a urine test. Though it was later found out that the medicine was prescribed to him by his physician the test showed the presence of methamphetamine-commonly known as ice in his urine and as such he was arrested. But after being convinced of his explanation that Mr Lee didn't know before hand about Indian Viagra containing a banned substance before using the drug, the district judge Shaiffudin Saruwan acquitted him.
Mr Lee Voot Seong`s erectile dysfunction history dated back to 2003. In between October 2003 and January 2004 Mr Lee's construction business was crumbling which further led to its collapse in April 2004. As his business suffered a drastic setback, he could no longer purchase Pfizer`s Viagra and so bought the Red Indian Viagra pills from the street peddlers in Johor Bahru.
