Recently, Georgia legislatures defeated a call to make amendments of a bill that makes it compulsory for pharmacists to fill in prescriptions for Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs.
The Republican bill, which is popularly known as the "pharmacists - can - play - doctor" bill is a strong governmental tool that restricts the flow of approved erectile dysfunction drugs from falling into the wrong hands. The provisions of the bill also bound the hands of the pharmacists to indulge in siphoning off Viagra pills at their own sweet will. If at all they give out Viagra to a customer, it is mandatory that they fill up a prescription.
The amendment call put by the Democrats has demanded for a resolution that will give power to the pharmacists to refuse to fill in a prescription. But the Republicans easily defeated the move of the opposition without engaging in the usual heated debates and exchanges. They said that pharmacists refusing to fill a prescription would have dire consequences as erectile dysfunction drugs can have adverse effects on the heart, if the drugs are taken under faulty circumstances.
The general population of Georgia is happy with the verdict of the legislature, as pharmacists can't refuse them when they genuinely need Viagra.
