In an operation jointly conducted by the Cambridgeshire County Council Trading Standards and Police Officers, counterfeit Viagra, pirated CDs and DVDs worth £500,000 were confiscated.

The seizure was one of the largest crack down ever done in Cambridgeshire and during the process, the police team raided Wisbech Market, off Salters Way and confiscated goods worth half a million pounds from four stalls.

Officials from the customs and excise department also took part in the raid which was a result of intelligence warning and thorough investigation and as such in the joint operation a high amount of tobacco, including 10,000 cigarettes were also confiscated.

Among the seized movies there are some films which have not yet been released on DVD and blockbusters such as Miami Vice, Cars and Monster House are among those movies.
